If you’ve never had your site hacked, it’s a bit annoying. This was a good one too — last time I only had to delete some junk script in the footer. This time I couldn’t even change the permissions on server files.
Anywho, this seemed like a good time to not restore the database and a good opportunity to start fresh. Adios to seven or eight years of barely blogging. Gone is the evidence of learning to write. Or at least the learning to write before now.
Gone are a few stories, loads of pictures, indexed pages, hours of agonizing over third, fourth, and probably fifth drafts. Fortunately, the Internet Wayback Machine has preserved this for eternity. Or until they decide to start over too.
